The 22 year old Frenchman will make his Formula E debut next season, at the start of the Gen4 era.
Despite his young age, Pourchaire has already made a name for himself in the motorsport world, winning the FIA Formula 2 title in 2023. Since then, he has raced in Indycar, the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as taking up a driver development role in Formula 1.
And although the 2026/27 Formula E season will mark his debut campaign in the championship, Pourchaire’s skill and growing experience behind the wheel of all-electric machinery has been on display in rookie tests, including this year’s Miami Rookie Free Practice session and Madrid Rookie Test
Pourchaire impressed many in the paddock with his performance in Miami, after finishing the session in P2, just 0.093 off the fastest time.
Fielding the Frenchman for his debut season is Opel GSE Formula E, the newest team to enter the championship. As a German brand with a long motorsport tradition and success in rallying, touring cars and endurance racing, Opel is now bringing its technical expertise to welcome the Gen4 era – Formula E’s most exciting evolution to date.
