  • Ferrari reveal livery for Monza

    Ferrari have revealed the special livery that Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton’s SF-25s will wear at this year’s Italian Grand Prix – the first race at Monza for the seven-time World Champion Hamilton since joining the Scuderia.

    Featuring a more prominent white on the engine covers, alongside retro numbers and wheel covers, the car pays homage to the colourway of the Ferrari 312T that Niki Lauda took to the 1975 Drivers’ Championship, and which earned the team the Constructors’ title in the same year.

    At the time, a third place finish had been enough for the 26 year old Austrian to be crowned with one grand prix remaining, such was his advantage over McLaren’s Emerson Fittipaldi and Brabham’s Carlos Reutemann.
    Ferrari team-mate Clay Regazzoni gave the tifosi another reason to celebrate with victory on their turf.

    Ferrari head to Monza off the back of a tough outing at the Dutch Grand Prix, with both Hamilton and Leclerc retiring after crashes – although the drivers had been buoyed by the improved pace of their car as the weekend progressed.

  • McLaren reveal Chrome livery for Silverstone

    McLaren have unveiled a new iteration of their chrome livery, to be used by Lando Norris and championship leader, Oscar Piastri at this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

    The livery pays homage to the iconic chrome look of McLaren’s of the mid-2000s and early 2010s, as raced by the likes of Kimi Raikkonen, Juan Pablo Montoya and current Ferrari driver, Lewis Hamilton.

    The livery was revealed to fans in a special McLaren Racing Live event held in London’s Trafalgar Square, with Norris and Piastri both in attendance, along with development driver Alex Dunne, and several other team members.

    The team previously used a chrome livery at the 2023 British Grand Prix, while other special liveries used in recent times include the team’s ‘Triple Crown’ paint job for the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, and their ‘Riviera’ look for this year’s Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix.

  • Racing Bulls unveil special livery for British GP

    Racing Bulls and their partner HUGO have unveiled a special livery for the British Grand Prix in collaboration with Nigerian artist Slawn.

    Revealed by Slawn along with Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar at the Flannels X store in London this evening, the link-up sees VCARB 02 adorned with Slawn’s caricature style street art.

    The artwork will also feature on the drivers’ race suits and the team’s kit across the weekend, while Slawn will also be in the paddock on Thursday alongside Lawson and Hadjar where the squad say he will be “designing the garage IRL”.

    Slawn’s famed graffiti aesthetic – rooted in his Yoruba heritage and London’s urban culture – has seen him make his name in the city’s art landscape.
    He also has previously made a foray into the world of sports, having designed the Emirate FA Cup Trophy in May this year.

    Slawn’s work is unlike anything we’ve seen in Formula 1, and that’s exactly why this collaboration felt right. Partnering with HUGO and Slawn has allowed us to push creative boundaries in a way that reflects the bold identity of our team. Silverstone is a massive moment in the season, and we’re proud to bring something completely original to our fans.

    Witnessing the big reveal of Slawn’s fresh, energetic art on the VCARB Team’s new livery and his exciting takeover will consolidate HUGO’s ambition to take F1 further off-track and into culture. This collaboration is a brilliant demonstration of the power of going your own way, which is at the core of HUGO and VCARB’s DNA. All eyes will be on VCARB during the action at Silverstone.

  • Haas reveal special livery for 200th Grand Prix

    Haas have shown off a special livery for the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend, where the team will celebrate their 200th race since entering the sport almost a decade ago.

    Haas arrived on the F1 grid in 2016, initially fielding Frenchman Romain Grosjean and Mexican Esteban Gutierrez as part of an operation split across sites in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.

    Powered by Ferrari engines, the squad climbed as high as fifth in the Teams’ Championship standings through 2018, with Grojean achieving their personal best Grand Prix result of fourth at the Austrian Grand Prix that season.

    Other highlights so far include, Kevin Magnussen’s shock pole position for the Sao Paulo Sprint race in 2022, while the Dane also secured their highest Grand Prix grid slot of fourth during 2023’s visit to the Miami International Autodrome.

    Now represented by rookie Ollie Bearman and experienced racer Eteban Ocon, Haas will offer a nod to the past for the upcoming Montreal weekend by adopting a livery that resembles the clean black, grey and red design which they used throughout their debut 2016 campaign.

  • McLaren reveal tweaked livery for Monaco

    McLaren have revealed a special ‘Riviera-inspired’ livery enhancement that will run on their Formula 1 cars at the upcoming Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix.

    In collaboration with team partner OKX, the livery change is a nod to McLaren’s iconic M7A race car, while “drawing inspiration from the elegance of the Riviera”.

    The M7A was the car with which founder Bruce McLaren claimed the team’s first F1 victory at the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix – as well as being the machine that debuted their now legendary papaya livery.

    McLaren’s new design will run on both MCL39s throughout the entirety of the Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix weekends, with drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri also sporting fresh overalls in Monaco.

    It is not the first time McLaren have run a bespoke livery in Monaco, with the squad unveiling an Ayrton Senna-inspired design for last year’s Grand Prix on the streets of the Principality.

    Before that, they ran a one-off ‘Triple Crown’ papaya, white and black livery at the 2023 event as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations and in 2021 they brought the blue and orange colours of then partner Gulf Oil back to F1.

  • Sauber reveal special livery for Miami

    Kick Sauber have revealed a striking special livery that will adorn their car for the Miami Grand Prix weekend, with the design inspired by the vibrant art scene of the city.

    Described as a “bold canvas of modern art” the one off colour scheme is dominated by neon green paint, designed to evoke the feeling of freshly applied paint as if completed by the artist before the cars hit the track.

    To match the special livery of the C45, drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will be wearing race suits that reflect the theme, while the design is also set to feature throughout the team’s garage and on pit stop equipment.

    With this marking Kick Sauber’s first new look of the campaign, the squad have promised that there will be further surprises and special moments to come in the year ahead.

    This livery is more than just a new look – it’s a celebration of Miami’s creative spirit and our commitment to energising the sport for our fans. Our objective when developing this livery with Stake was to stand out, not only for our dedication on the track, but also for our boldness and creativity off track. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable moments and engaging experiences, and this Miami special is a perfect example of that.

  • Red Bull unveil special livery for Japanese GP

    Red Bull have revealed a special one-off livery that will adorn the RB21 during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, with the team running a striking white and red design to honour the final year of their partnership with Honda.

    In an event that will see Yuki Tsunoda step up as Max Verstappen’s new team mate in front of his home crowd – following the decision to swap the Japanese driver with Liam Lawson the latter returning to Racing Bulls – Red Bull’s challenger will pay tribute to Honda by sporting a design inspired by the RA272, which gave the engine manufacturer its inaugural win back in 1965.

    The livery recreates the RA272’s Japanese flag motif, featuring the ‘H’ logo on the nose and the simple Honda logo on the rear of the bodywork, while a special logo commemorating the 60th anniversary of Honda’s debut victory will be displayed on the Red Bull and Racing Bulls cars during the weekend.

    This is not the first time that Red Bull have raced in white, with the squad having previously run a special livery at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix.

    Our relationship with Honda deserves celebration, it has been one of continued success and brought the team one of the most triumphant and dominant periods in our history. Max has won four world titles with a Honda power unit, and the team have lifted two Constructors’ titles. In addition, Honda’s reliability enabled it to complete the most successful season in the sport’s history in 2023. This livery is a tribute to Honda’s success in the sport and the final year of what has been a thoroughly enjoyable partnership. I am looking forward to seeing it out on track.

  • Haas reveal livery for Japanese Grand Prix

    The Haas F1 team has revealed a beautiful new livery for the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, celebrating the iconic cherry blossom of the country.

    The pink livery, which lays over the traditional 2025 livery of the American team celebrates the connection that’s growing between Haas and Japan.

    The team has transformed its VF-25 car with a cherry blossom inspired livery, “paying homage” to the natural beauty of the Sakura. This will feature across both cars over the weekend.

    There’s more to this change than just aesthetics. A strong relationship between the team and the country has formed over the past year, after a multi-year technical partnership with Toyota was confirmed in October 2024, seeing the manufacturer return to the sport for the first time since 2009.

    This will see Toyota Gazoo Racing working with Haas on design, technical and manufacturing services, something that will help the team build their capabilities under new leadership from team principal Ayao Komatsu.

  • McLaren reveal Austin livery

    McLaren are the third Formula 1 team to present a special livery for the United States Grand Prix weekend, following on from reveals by fellow teams Haas and Alpine.

    In collaboration with team partner Google, McLaren have created a second edition of their striking chrome-inspired livery, which was first re-imagined at Silverstone last year.

    Featuring in their ‘Chrome Shines Again’ campaign, the livery is a nod to some of McLaren’s former cars, including a modern twist to represent the team’s enduring legacy, with the enhanced chrome representing the two brands’ pursuit of innovative design.

    In addition to Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s cars, touches of chrome will be present on their race suits for this weekend.

    McLaren approach the 19th race weekend with a 41 point lead over Red Bull in the constructors’ standings, while Norris is 52 points behind Max Verstappen as they battle for the drivers’ championship heats up.

  • Alpine present Indiana Jones livery

    Alpine have joined Haas in showing off a special car livery for the United States Grand Prix weekend in Austin, with their striking design celebrating the return of legendary adventure character Indiana Jones in an upcoming video game.

    Via a collaboration with team partner Xbox, Alpine are building up to the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – which is scheduled for Spring 2025 – with a ‘sunset orange’ colour scheme and themed driver suits inspired by the franchise logo.

    Diving into the car livery, it features an ancient map and red travel routes as showcased in the iconic film series, with the title of the game also emblazoned on the vehicle, while the suits include a world map with golden notes.

    This is not the first time that Alpine have produced a film-inspired livery and race suits in 2024, with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon sporting another bold look inspired by the Deadpool & Wolverine movie at the Belgian Grand Prix.

  • Haas to run special livery for home race

    Haas have revealed a special car livery for the United States Grand Prix weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, celebrating their second of three of home races during the 2024 season.

    Complementing the usual black, red and white colour scheme are some additional blue highlights and features such as white and black stars – a nod to the United States flag.

    Haas have raced under the American flag since debuting in 2016, with their headquarters located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, alongside a European base in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

    The team have not only made a change to the liveries on Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen’s cars, though, with a range of upgrades set to be unleashed at the Austin round as the team aim to overhaul RB for sixth in the constructors’ standings.

    Haas have 31 points to their name so far ahead of the final six rounds, they are only three points away from RB.

    In Austin we’re bringing our main update for the final part of the season which will mainly involve another step of development in the floor and bodywork. The target, as always, will be to improve aero load in order to make the car faster. It’s difficult to be making a big step in lap time, so we’re speaking about small numbers, but in the tight midfield fight everything is an important step, and we hope to deliver. This is a development and further evolution of our package, not something new, although the car will look a bit different. We’re fighting for P6 and that’s a very nice feeling. We really need to put everything in we can to achieve that because it would be amazing for everyone at this team who’s put so much work into making this season a success.

  • McLaren reveal special livery

    McLaren will be joining Mercedes and RB in running a one-off livery at this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix, having presented a Legend Reborn design with partner OKX.

    Co-designed by McLaren and OKX, the livery celebrates the MP4 era of McLaren from 1981 to 1996, blending the classic stripe design with McLaren’s papaya colour scheme “as a way of honouring the heritage of the team”.

    It was officially unveiled at an on track event in Singapore, prior to the race weekend getting under way, with McLaren’s CEO Zak Brown and drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in attendance.

    The livery also honours legendary McLaren racers such as Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost and Niki Lauda, with the names of 13 iconic drivers from the era integrated into the livery on the cockpit.

    The new livery drops a week after McLaren took the lead of the F1 constructors’ championship for the first time in a decade, with the Woking-based team jumping ahead of Red Bull after Piastri’s win on the streets of Azerbaijan.

    It is fantastic to bring back our third bespoke livery in Singapore with OKX. Legend Reborn is a great way to celebrate and honour our iconic history, in a way that unites fans old and new. Following on from this year’s Senna campaign, this livery further embodies our partnership with OKX as we continue to deliver unique story telling campaigns for McLaren fans and OKX customers globally.

  • Mercedes unveil special one-off livery

    Mercedes have unveiled a special livery that will adorn the W15 during the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend, featuring shades of green in place of the team’s traditional silver colours.

    It is to mark the 50th anniversary of the squad’s technical and title partner PETRONAS, the company’s emerald green will replace most of the silver on the car’s front wing and sidepods.

    With the PETRONAS headquarters based in Kuala Lumpur in the neighbouring Malaysia, Mercedes opted to mark the milestone as F1 heads to the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

    The new look has earned praise from lewis Hamilton and George Russell, with both drivers looking forward to racing with the one-off livery under the lights.

    After the race weekend, Wolff, Hamilton and Russell will travel to Kuala Lumpur to continue the celebrations.

  • Alpine to run Deadpool & Wolverine livery

    Alpine will be racing with a special red and black livery for this weekend’s Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix to celebrate the release of Deadpool & Wolverine.

    Alpine will drop its usual black, pink and blue livery for a one-off Deadpool vs Wolverine – inspired livery.

    The livery features the red and black of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool character as well as yellow slashes as a nod to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. The team’s mechanics will also wear Deadpool red at Spa.

    Esteban Ocon will recreate the red Deadpool mask with his helmet, while Gasly will sport a yellow and black Wolverine design.
    Ocon first used a similar design as one-off at the Las Vegas Grand Prix last year.

    Reynolds was a part of the investment group that acquired a 24% stake in Alpine’s F1 team in June last year.

    This is far from the first film-inspired F1 livery and its fair to say there’s been mixed results over the years.
    The fact it was Red Bull’s first podium made its one-off Superman Returns livery at the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix and driver capes all the more iconic.

    But there hasn’t been a properly good film tie-up that’s fully committed to it in the way that Alpine has.
    To ditch its traditional Renault colours and go with red – about as un-Renault-like as you can get.

  • McLaren unveil Senna inspired livery

    McLaren will run a vibrant one-off Ayrton Senna-inspired yellow, green and blue full wrap livery at this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

    The livery takes inspiration from Senna’s iconic helmet and is designed to celebrate the Brazilian’s “incredible racing legacy”.

    Three-time world champion Senna is McLaren’s most successful driver, racing for the British operation between 1988 and 1993 – during which time, he secured 35 of his 41 Grand Prix wins, plus three drivers’ titles and four constructors’ championships.

    McLaren chose Monaco as the Monte Carlo track has become synonymous with Senna, the Brazilian – who passed away 30 years ago – winning six times in the Principality, including five times in a row from 1989.
    The race will come a week after a weekend at Imola that saw Senna, and Austrian driver Roland Ratzenberger’s lives celebrated three decades on from their fatal accidents at the track.

    In Monaco, the McLaren team will also wear Senna-inspired team kit for the weekend, with race drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri wearing bespoke overalls.

    The livery is a collaboration with Senna Global and McLaren’s partner OKX.

    The team is proud to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary life and racing legacy of Ayrton Senna through this McLaren livery. Senna remains revered and respected as Formula 1’s greatest icon, and McLaren’s most decorated driver. His impact on McLaren is enormous, not only through his racing record but also presence within the team, and now his legacy, so it’s an honour to race for him at his most successful circuit in his green, yellow and blue colours. With it being the 30th anniversary of his passing, the team are choosing to recognise and celebrate his life at one of his favourite and most successful places to race, Monaco. We look forward to racing in this vibrant and beautiful livery this weekend.

    It’s an honour to recognise Ayrton through these liveries in collaboration with both McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate his life and legacy through his iconic colours on both cars. McLaren meant a lot to him, and together they achieved a lot of success, much of which he is still remembered for today by so many. It will be special to see it race the streets of Monaco, a circuit which gave him so much joy and many triumphs.

  • DS PENSKE reveal special livery for Monaco

    DS PENKSE are adding their own glitz to the glamorous streets of Monaco with a special livery for Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne.

    The Monaco race is the jewel on the motorsport crown and to celebrate racing on the glamorous streets of this iconic city.
    DS PENSKE’s Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne will race on Saturday 27th April with the special livery.

    Named the ‘Grand Gala’ the special livery flips the usual two-tone colour palette with gloss black as the main colour complimented with signature chrome gold lining the angular shapes of the DS E-TENSE FE23.

    The design was inspired by the golden era of art deco and motorsport from the 1920s and 30s, and Monaco is a very fitting place for the special colour-way as the roads are steeped in motorsport history having seen racing since 1929.

    Both Vergne and Vandoorne have experienced winning on these hallowed streets in each of their championship winning seasons.

  • McLaren unveil bespoke livery

    McLaren have unveiled a bespoke livery that will adorn Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s car across the Japanese Grand Prix weekend.

    Designed by Japanese artist MILTZ, the livery highlights the Driven by Change campaign, which returns for its fourth F1 season. The campaign celebrates emerging creatives through the global motorsport platform, providing opportunities to showcase their innovative artwork to the world.

    For McLaren’s special design, MILTZ’s artwork is inspired by Edomoji, a traditional Japanese calligraphy, which he fuses with modern art and culture.
    On the McLaren MCL38 he has used this to represent the speed of a Formula 1 car in the form of a dragon racing through the clouds.

    When I first became a freelance artist, I never thought an opportunity like this was possible – this is the biggest international project I have ever done! As I continue to build my profile as an artist, I want my artwork to champion the rich traditions of Japanese writing culture, such as Edomoji, but with a modern twist. From my work with local businesses in Japan to the McLaren Formula 1 Team, there are so many beautiful stories to tell through art.

    The upgrade on the VF-23 is aerodynamic. We changed the concept of the car because what we started with, because of the new regulations last year, we couldn’t make any more gains performance-wise. Creating more downforce and less drag, it just wasn’t there anymore, so we needed to change concept, to which is commonly known as the ‘Red Bull concept’ or the ‘downwash concept’. It is a substantial update, and we’re able to do this within the cost cap because we didn’t have any updates at the beginning of the season because again, going back, we couldn’t find any performance that we could make parts to put on the car.

    Our partnership with OKX goes from strength to strength, and it’s fantastic to celebrate it with this incredible livery. Stealth Mode flips our race car’s colours, bringing something exciting and different to these two great races in Singapore and Japan.     McLaren will be running a special chrome-inspired livery at their home race, the British Grand Prix this weekend, as they continue their year long 60th anniversary celebrations.

    The design is a nod to their fan favourite chrome livery, which they ran from 2006 – 2014 – an era which was defined by Lewis Hamilton’s drivers’ world championship in 2008.

    That was the last time McLaren tasted world championship success, with the British operation having since returned their livery to the team’s roots with the use of papaya.

    The special livery, which will adorn both MCL60 race cars at this weekend’s race at Silverstone, has been designed in conjunction with their partner Google.

    Lando Norris will run a special chrome helmet design and bespoke race boots whilst both he and his teammate Oscar Piastri will wear one-off design race suits.

    The livery follows their special ‘Triple Crown’ papaya, white and black livery which they ran in Monaco and Spain earlier this year in homage to their achievement of winning motorsport’s three most famous races, known as the Triple Crown, which includes F1’s Monaco races, IndyCar’s Indy 500 and the endurance showpiece – the Le Mans 24 Hours.

    It’s no secret that racing fans love McLaren’s classic chrome livery. Google Chrome wanted to bring back elements of this iconic livery to celebrate our team’s history at the British Grand Prix, and we’re excited to be able to give our fans what they want. I’m sure this livery will bring back great memories for many of our fans, and I can’t wait to see it out on track at our home race.
