  • Jaguar TCS Racing confirm reserve roles

    Jaguar TCS Racing has today announced Stoffel Vandoorne will join the team as Reserve Driver for Season 12, alongside long-serving simulator and reserve driver Tom Dillmann.

    Vandoorne, the 2022 ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Champion, joins the team after a year at Maserati MSG Racing.

    With more than 100 Formula E race starts to his name, the Belgian brings a wealth of experience and momentum from an impressive 2024/25 season – capped by his performance in Tokyo that lead Maserati to its sole victory in the GEN3 Evo era.

    His Formula E journey spans seven seasons and includes a standout rookie year with HWA Racelab, a three year tenure at Mercedes-EQ Formula E team, where he secured the Drivers’ world title and two seasons with DS PENSKE before his move to Maserati.

    He joins Tom Dillmann, Jaguar TCS Racing’s long-serving simulator and reserve driver, who enters his sixth year with the team. Together, Vandoorne and Dillmann will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s technical development – contributing both on track and behind the scenes as they help develop a competitive GEN4 contender for the 2026/27 season.

  • Pepe Marti joins CUPRA Kiro

    CUPRA Kiro is excited to announce that Spanish racing driver, Pepe Marti, will join the team for the upcoming 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship season.

    The 20 year old from Barcelona, Spain, joins CUPRA KIRO following a two-season spell in Formula 2, where he has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in single-seater motorsport.

    Marti started his single-seater career in 2021, finishing third in the F4 Championship and as the runner-up in the Formula Regional Asian Championship before stepping onto the Formula 1 support bill in FIA Formula 3 in 2022.

    After claiming three wins and four podiums in his second F3 season, Pepe graduated to FIA Formula 2 for 2024 and has since added four wins and eight podiums to his name.

    Managed by A14 Management, a driver development group co-founded by Fernando Alonso, Marti’s career has been defined by a clear statement of intent and trajectory of ambition, discipline and performance and aligns closely CUPRA KIRO’s ultimate competitive targets in Formula E.

    I’m very excited to join CUPRA KIRO for the 2025/26 Formula E season. Obviously, it will be my first time racing in the category, and I’ll be a rookie, but nonetheless, I’m looking forward to it. The team is coming into Season 12 off the back of a win in Jakarta, and I feel very motivated to get this new chapter started. With Dan [Ticktum] as my team-mate, I’ll have a lot to learn and catch up on at the beginning of the season, but my goal is to get up to speed, improve quickly and score points and hopefully get a couple of good results.

    Welcoming Pepe to CUPRA KIRO marks an exciting new chapter for the team. Despite being just 20 years old, Pepe has shown exceptional levels of maturity, composure, and intelligence, which, when combined with his natural speed, makes him stand out as a top talent in modern motorsport. His decision to step away from Formula 2 and commit fully to our Formula E project is a real statement of intent, and not only validates our vision as a team, but shows belief in the future of the championship.   • CUPRA KIRO confirm Dan Ticktum

    CUPRA KIRO has confirmed Dan Ticktum will stay with the team through the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    Ticktum enters his fifth season in Formula E after joining the grid from FIA Formula 2 in 2021.

    In the 2024/25 season, the 26 year old produced a breakthrough campaign which saw the Brit claim a landmark maiden podium in Tokyo, a maiden Julius Baer Pole Position in London and an unforgettable first victory in Jakarta.

    The upcoming 2025/26 season will mark Ticktum’s second with CUPRA KIRO and fifth overall with the Silverstone-based team, with the collaboration marking one of the longest active driver-team combinations on the grid.

    I am back. And I’m happy to be back. Season 11 was far more positive than any season before it. Last year we faced a big challenge to get everything in the right window as fast as we could, and with limited time, but we achieved that halfway through the season. I’m looking forward to building on that this year, and I think that if we can hit the ground running, we have a car that can be good enough to get more wins. My personal goal is a top five finish in the championship, but overall, I want to really enjoy the environment in the team. I love all of the people in this team, and I’m really looking forward to this season.

    Continuing our relationship with Dan for Season 12 was the easiest decision we’ve had to make as a team. Since joining us in 2021, we’ve been very fortunate to watch him grow and transform into one of Formula E’s most gifted drivers. From securing his first victory in Jakarta to taking pole in London, Dan’s performances last season proved what we’ve always believed: that he has the makings of a World Champion. He has the drive, the instinct, and the pure talent to be the best, and we’re very proud, and very excited to continue our journey together in Season 12. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve!

  • Sanya returns to Formula E

    The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will return to the vibrant coastal city of Sanya for Round 12 of Season 12 in June, marking the series’ first visit to the city since Season 5 (2018/19).

    Sanya joins Shanghai on the Season 12 calendar, with China now hosting two events in a single season – a clear reflection of the country’s strategic importance to Formula E and its longstanding place in the series’ history.
    It’s also a testament to China’s strong interest in Formula E, underlining the nation’s role as a key market and enthusiastic supporter of all-electric racing made possible through the support of the Government of Sanya, as well as trusted partners Sanya Lian Xin.

    Located on China’s Hainan Island, Sanya offers a unique blend of tropical scenery and a challenging street circuit layout, expected to deliver a unique racing experience for drivers and teams.
    As a city celebrated for its world-class tourism and positioned within the only free trade port with Chinese characteristics – the Hainan Free Trade Port – Sanya leverages Formula E as a global stage to showcase both its appeal to international visitors and its growing role as a hub for international business.

    China has played a pivotal role in the history of Formula E, having hosted the very first race of the Championship at the Beijing E-Prix in 2014.
    Since then, the series has raced in four different Chinese cities, including both Hong Kong and now Shanghai and Sanya. Across these eleven races, there have been ten different winners, showcasing the unpredictable and competitive nature of the Championship.

  • Mueller joins Wehrlein at Porsche

    Pascal Wehrlein will be joined by Nico Mueller at Porsche for Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    The 33 year old Swiss driver Mueller moves from Porsche customer team Andretti to the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer’s factory Formula E team.

    He succeeds Antonio Felix da Costa, the Portuguese driver having contributed significantly to the success of the Porsche Formula E Team over three years.

    Wehrlein, Drivers’ World Champion for the 2023/24 season, has been part of the Porsche Formula E Team since August 2020.
    Mueller joined the factory driver line-up in August 2024 and competed last season as a regular driver in the Porsche 99X for Andretti.

    Both drivers have already been conducting development work in the simulator in recent weeks for Season 13, when the fourth generation of Formula E cars will debut.

    Preparations for the first drives at the end of the year are underway at the Porsche centre in Weissach. Parallel to the GEN4 development, Porsche is embarking on the final season with the current, third-generation car, which begins on December 6th with the opening race in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

    I’m incredibly proud of this step and thank Porsche Motorsport for their trust. My last season wasn’t easy, but it was all the more instructive – that motivates me tremendously to repay the team’s trust on the track. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team even more and I am convinced that Pascal and I will form a strong duo. I want to contribute as quickly as possible to helping the team build on its recent successes.

    I am delighted that we continue to have one of the strongest driver pairings in the field. Pascal is, of course, a well-known figure. Nico has been able to familiarise himself with the Porsche 99X Electric at Andretti during the previous season and is therefore well prepared when he gets into the factory car. Our goals for the upcoming season remain the same: We want to fight for all three titles at the finale in London next year.

  • Da Costa joins Jaguar TCS Racing

    Jaguar TCS Racing have confirmed Antonio Felix da Costa will take up a race seat alongside Mitch Evans for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    Da Costa – the 2019/20 Driver’ World Champion – joins Jaguar TCS Racing from Porsche. With 12 wins to his name, five of those in the GEN3 era of Formula E, the Portuguese has consistently shown his exceptional pace and race craft in the all-electric World Championship.

    A title contending driver in Formula E since its inception, da Costa is widely respected for his deep technical expertise and has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting and accomplished talents in electric motorsport.

    Together, da Costa and Evans boast 270 combined Formula E race starts, 26 race wins, 60 podiums and 18 poles – more joint race starts and wins than any other team pairing in Formula E history.

    Da Costa quickly rose through the ranks of junior single-seaters following a standout karting career. He impressed in the Formula 3 Euro Series, GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5, earning a coveted spot in the Red Bull Junior Team.

    By 2010, he made his Formula 1 test debut with Force India and, just two years later, became Red Bull Racing’s official test driver – cementing his reputation as a rising star.

    Joining Jaguar TCS Racing, a team with a rich legacy in motorsport, is an incredible honour. The team’s resilience and pursuit of performance and innovation is something I’ve always admired, and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the impressive Jaguar I-TYPE 7. Partnering with Mitch, one of the most experienced drivers in Formula E and a close friend, is a privilege. I’m excited for this next chapter – to learn, push boundaries, and play my part in driving the team forward for Season 12 and beyond.

  • Ian James joins Jaguar as Team Principal

    Jaguar TCS Racing have appointed Ian James as Team Principal starting in October to lead the team into the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and then GEN4 era.

    James, who will also be Managing Director JLR Motorsport, has a proven record of leadership success in Formula E including four World Championship titles with Mercedes-EQ – two Teams’ and two Drivers’.
    His move to Jaguar follows his stint at the helm of NEOM McLaren.

    The 47 year old spent much of last season attempting to save the McLaren team via a deal that initially looked to include the Stellantis brand Citroen.
    But a combination of political manoeuvrings on both the Stellantis side and via Formula E Operations’ acquisition of the Maserati MSG licence scuppered the deal at a relatively late stage.

    That meant the McLaren team was closed, and its assets were disbanded and its staff let go throughout August and September. James is believed to have formally accepted the offer to succeed Barclay shortly after the end of the last Formula E campaign.

    James will take over a Jaguar team that will go into its 10th Formula E season as one of the favourites for titles after a strong end to the 2024 – 25 season.
    It notched up the most wins for a single manufacturer – seven – with four for Nick Cassidy, two for Mitch Evans and a single success for customer team Envision Racing after Sebastien Buemi won at Monaco.

  • Drugovich joins Andretti

    Andretti has confirmed that Felipe Drugovich will join the team for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    The 2022 FIA Formula 2 Champion will partner with Season 9 Drivers’ World Champion Jake Dennis to complete Andretti Formula E’s driver lineup for the final season of GEN3 Evo.

    The Brazilian driver brings a championship-winning pedigree and broad international motorsport experience in single-seater and sports car competition to the Andretti Formula E team, highlighted by a dominant 2022 FIA Formula 2 Drivers’ Championship run that saw Drugovich earn five wins, 11 podiums and finish 101 points clear of his closest rival.

    Since 2022, Drugovich has served as a reserve driver for the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team, taking part in multiple Free Practice 1 sessions.
    He has also gained endurance racing experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in IMSA with Cadillac Racing, while showcasing his speed in Formula E by topping the 2023 Berlin Rookie Test and scoring points on debut at the 2025 Hankook Berlin E-Prix.

    Drugovich becomes the first Brazilian driver to race for Andretti Formula E, joining a rich lineage of Brazilian talent who have competed in the series, including inaugural champion Nelson Piquet Jr, Bruno Senna, Felipe Massa and Season 3 Champion, Lucas di Grassi.

    I’m so happy to announce that I’ll be joining Andretti Formula E, and I’m really excited about what’s ahead. My team and I have been in touch with Andretti ever since I won the Formula 2 title, so it’s great  that we’ve managed to stay connected all this time and finally have the opportunity to work together. It’s been far too long for me without racing, so I’m incredibly motivated to get back on a racetrack. It means a lot to know I’ll be competing in every session and not just serving as a reserve, as I have done the past few years. I’m very thankful to the entire Andretti Global organization for believing in my potential and for being so supportive.   • Lola Yamaha ABT retains Di Grassi & Maloney

    Lola Yamaha ABT has confirmed it will retain the same driver line-up for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with both Lucas di Grassi and Zane Maloney continuing to compete for the team.

    The British manufacturer, in partnership with Yamaha and ABT, entered Formula E in Season 11 as part of the Gen3 Evo era.

    Despite facing the steep learning curve of competing in a championship with no prior experience, the squad made steady progress throughout its debut campaign.

    The team’s highlights included a surprise podium finish in Miami, where veteran di Grassi secured second place in only Lola Yamaha ABT’s fifth race.

    In total, the team scored 32 points in its inaugural season, with di Grassi’s expertise proving critical in helping the team move from the back of the grid towards the midfield.

    I’m pleased to confirm a second season with Lola Yamaha ABT in Formula E. Our first season was very positive with a podium in Miami and 32 points scored. We’ve worked extremely hard this summer and added reinforcements to the team to ensure our second season is even better. The long-term view and dedication of people from Lola, Yamaha and ABT to put this team where it deserves to be, winning races and fighting for championships, gives me so much motivation. I really enjoy working with the team and truly appreciate all the effort they’ve put in, which will hopefully result in many more successes in the future together.

    I’m very excited to be continuing with Lola Yamaha ABT for Season 12. Last year was mine and the team’s rookie season and I think we developed very well.   • Citroen sign Vergne & Cassidy

    French automotive giant Citroen have secured two top talents for their debut campaign in the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship campaign.

    Jean-Eric Vergne makes the move from DS PENSKE after an eight-season affiliation with the DS brand, with which he sealed his second Formula E Drivers’ title to become the only two-time and consecutive champion in the series’ history.

    JEV’s record speaks for itself as one of the OG drivers from Formula E’s very first season.
    The 35 year old is second in the all time Formula E entry list, has the most consecutive starts – all 144 of those entries – and is sixth in the all-time wins table.

    Vergne dovetails Formula E with a seat in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Peugeot, and he has also drove for Toro Rosso in Formula 1 prior to his decade-plus in Formula E.

    Nick Cassidy joins the fold alongside Vergne, with the New Zealander also among the most successful drivers in the paddock with 10 wins and 20 podiums to his name.
    He was runner-up in the Drivers’ World Championship in 2022/23 and third in 2023/24 after two close run shots at top spot.

  • Da Costa part ways with Porsche

    Porsche have announced that Antonio Felix da Costa will leave the team ahead of Season 12.

    Da Costa is one of a handful of drivers to have competed in Formula E from the very first season back in 2014/15.
    The season 6 champion celebrated five race wins and helped the German manufacturer to the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Championship in Season 11.

    Highlights include his unforgettable move in Cape Town, 2023, which sealed his first win with Porsche.
    In 2024, he clinched Porsche’s first home victory at the Berlin E-Prix. That same season, after an early setback, the 34 year old impressively fought back and claimed four wins – more than any other driver on the grid.

    With these performances, da Costa played a significant role in all three titles won by the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team.

    I’m happy that it happened instead of being sad that it ends. I raced for one of the most prestigious brands in the world – that’s an honour for me, and I’m proud that this will forever be a part of my career. I’ve been part of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team for its three most successful years, and I want to thank every single person that I got to work with during this time. This includes the management with Thomas and Florian, as well as the board. A special thank you goes out to my mechanics and my engineers, who accompanied me on this road. Obrigado!

    After the title wins in London in July, Porsche has reached the pinnacle of electric motorsport – and that is very much thanks to António’s performances. He played a decisive role in enabling us to reach that achievement. Moments like his overtaking manoeuvre in Cape Town and our first home victory in Berlin will remain in our memories and are part of Porsche’s history in Formula E. We’re proud of all of this, and I’d like to thank him for it. I also greatly appreciated his consistently positive and relaxed manner. I hope to meet António again soon in paddocks around the world and wish him all the best for his future.

    In three very intense years with us, António proved his class – with five victories in the Porsche 99X Electric. He impressed everyone in the team above all with his racecraft, how he could read the race and work his way forward. I thank António for his achievements, but also for his direct and transparent approach, as well as the appreciation he showed to every single person in the team. My thanks also go to his mechanics and engineers; they worked extremely hard to help him regain his qualifying strength. Only then were we able to become Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Champions in July. We wish António all the best.

  • DS PENSKE sign Barnard for 2025/26

    DS PENSKE have confirmed rising star, Taylor Barnard will race for the team in the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship alongside seasoned race winner Maximilian Guenther.

    Brit, Barnard is fresh off the back of one of the best rookie season in Formula E history. He stood in for an injured Sam Bird at NEOM McLaren for his debut in Monaco and Berlin, Season 10, where he became the youngest-ever points scorer in the series’ history.

    In his first full campaign, he became the youngest driver to make the podium in Sao Paulo to open Season 11, before adding youngest polesitter to his list in Jeddah.

    The 21 year old has established himself as one of the hottest talents in motorsport, and team boss Jay Penske is more than happy with his capture.

    The team also confirmed that they will be retaining the services of Formula E’s youngest-ever race winner – Maximilian Guenther.

    The German driver is now an experienced head and multiple race winner – not least in Jeddah and Shanghai this year, the latter seeing Guenther head home an emotional DS one-two – the perfect complement to Barnard’s raw talent.

At just 21-years-old, he has already demonstrated remarkable speed, composure, and race craft, rewriting the record books and establishing himself as the most successful rookie in Formula E history.   • Citroen Racing joins Formula E

    French automotive giant Citroen has announced that it will join Formula E with Citroen Racing set to take to the grid from season 12.

    Citroen says its entry into Formula E provides a “new challenge” in “an electric, innovative and passionate adventure that embodies our values and our vision for the mobility of tomorrow.”

    Citroen Racing is a motorsport powerhouse which has won titles in every form of racing it has entered to-date.

    The storied outfit can count victories at Dakar, nine FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Drivers’ titles for its famed Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena partnership, eight WRC Manufacturers’ titles, three FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) Drivers’ titles, three WTCC Teams’ World Championship victories and even more title winning success in the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup to its name.

    Citroën is returning to motorsport, an arena that shaped its history and legend – motorsport in its most visionary form: an 100% electric, responsible and committed competition with popular races in the heart of cities, a young, committed, connected audience and a technological, international showcase for the future of mobility.

  • Women’s Test confirmed alongside Valencia Testing Dates

    Following the world-first debut ahead of Season 11 last year, the dedicated Women’s Test returns with double the track time available for up to 20 elite women drivers and all 10 Formula E Teams taking part.

    Each driver will run the current GEN3 Evo race car, as raced by official Formula E drivers and supported by the same team infrastructure.

    The initiative underscores Formula E and the FIA’s long-term commitment to accelerating diversity and equality in motorsport, from grassroots to the highest level.

    Each team is required to field at least one woman driver for the full-day session, with the option to enter two – all competing in current-season cars. The test attracts the very best talent from across world motorsport.

    Last season’s inaugural test created meaningful pathways, with five women going on to secure team roles, with three moving into permanent ongoing positions with Formula E outfits.

    We’re pleased to be returning with our second all-women’s test. Last year’s event was a landmark moment and its success has laid a foundation for what comes next. This year, with double the track time, we’re offering an even greater platform for elite women drivers to demonstrate their talent in our cutting-edge GEN3 Evo race car.  Unlike other series where women drivers have to use old or restricted machinery, they’ll be using the state-of-the-art GEN3 Evo car that accelerates 30% faster than an F1 car, just as our Championship drivers do. We’ve already seen this initiative lead to real career progression for multiple drivers, and we expect this year’s test to open even more doors.

    Following the success of the inaugural Formula E Women’s Test, we are delighted to be offering talented female racers another invaluable opportunity to gain experience and showcase their skills in the series. The feedback from teams and participants last year was positive, and there has already been a tremendous level of interest in next month’s test.   • Eriksson joins Envision Racing for Season 12

    Swedish driver Joel Eriksson has secured a full-time seat with Envision Racing, as he signs a multi-year deal with the Silverstone-based team to race alongside champion Sebastien Buemi.

    The 27 year old stepped in for Envision Racing during Season 10 at the Berlin E-Prix and demonstrated his talent and ability instantly, scoring points during his debut weekend for the team.

    Eriksson experienced his first taste of Formula E back in 2018 with Envision Racing during the Rookie Test in Marrakesh – after a successful early career in Formula 4 and Formula 3.

    Following the test, he participated in eight races of Season 7 with Dragon/Penske Autosport, stepping up from a reserve role.

    Since then, he has remained a part of the paddock and has completed extensive simulator and development work over the past three seasons, yielding a strong understanding of the complexities of electric racing and how maximise performance in the car.

    I am delighted to have signed with Envision Racing, it is a huge moment in my career and one that I have been working towards for a while. I am very thankful to the team for their trust, and I can’t wait to get started for my first full season of Formula E.

    We are very excited to announce Joel as our newest driver. We have known Joel for a number of years now, going back to his first ever Formula E test with us, and racing for us last season in Berlin. On both occasions he proved to us how talented he is and adapted very quickly to the Formula E style of racing in Berlin, delivering points on debut. With Joel’s extensive knowledge and experience working on the simulator with Jaguar, we are confident that he will deliver for us, and we will be doing all we can to help him hit the ground running.

  • Nissan confirm Rowland & Nato for 2025/26

    Nissan have confirmed champion Oliver Rowland will return alongside Norman Nato for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    Following a strong season 11 which saw Nissan Formula E Team take third in the Teams’ World Championship, its best result since the Japanese automaker took on full ownership of the operation after partnering with e.dams, the outfit is looking to continue its trajectory next season, with consistency and stability earmarked as a key to push further.

    Formula E World Champion, Oliver Rowland will continue with the team for a sixth season as part of a multi year deal and after a superb campaign, which saw him secure the Drivers’ World Championship with three pole positions, seven podiums, including four vicotries.

    The British driver made his full time series debut with the Japanese team in season 5, which was also Nissan’s first in Formula E, and raced with the team for three years.
    Returning ahead of Season 10, Rowland hit the ground running with a strong campaign, before earning his maiden world title in Season 11.

    Norman Nato, who tackles his third season with Nissan, will continue to race alongside Rowland.
    A race winner in the series, the French driver first joined the squad in Season 9, where he was a regular points scorer, also taking the team’s first podium under full Nissan ownership in Rome.

    He returned after a year away to team up with Rowland, showing consistent speed on track claiming pole position in Miami.

    I’m thrilled to sign with Nissan Formula E Team on a multi-year deal, in what will be my sixth season with the squad. What we’ve managed to achieve following my return in 2023/24 has been remarkable. Since I came to Formula E, the team has felt like my home, and I have a high level of trust with them as well as plenty of support. The aim for Season 12 is to replicate and improve on what we did last campaign, but we know how hard we need to work in the off-season to achieve the best results possible.

    I’m delighted to continue with Nissan Formula E Team for another season as it was always the target to extend my stay here. It’ll be my third campaign with the team and my second consecutive one, which gives me a lot of confidence moving forward.
    Nato on the news. I still have plenty of areas to improve on, but I’m not starting from scratch this year so I can use factors I’ve learned in Season 11 to help me in the future. I’m sure Oli will perform at a very high level again and I’m positive that together we can fight for the Teams’ World Championship.

    Following a very successful season, we’ve decided to maintain our driver line-up for Season 12. We’re keen to consolidate our operations as we look to further improve on the work carried out both on and off-track since we took full control of our operations in the sport. I am sure that the stability and consistency that we’ve built with both Oli and Norman will help us continue our remarkable progression and fight for all three championships again next season.

  • Formula E unveil 2025/26 Calendar

    Formula E and the FIA have announced the first provisional calendar for the 2025-26 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship following validation from the FIA’s World Motorsport Council Meeting.

    Featuring its most expensive season yet with 18 races across 12 global cities, highlights include new races in Madrid and Miami’s International Autodrome for the first time.

    The all-electric series’ record-breaking 12th season begins on 6th December 2025 on the vibrant streets of Sao Paulo, before the championship returns to Mexico City in January.

    Formula E then makes its first race appearance at the Miami International Autodrome on 31st January. February sees a nighttime double-header under the lights in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
    While Madrid debuts on the calendar in March at the historic Circuito de Madrid-Jarama – the first time Formula E has race in the Spanish capital.

    Returning venues including Berlin, Tokyo and Shanghai, each hosting double header race weekends, while Monaco continues its role as the jewel in the crown of motorsport, hosting back to back races on the iconic street circuit, only the second time it has hosted World Championship races on consecutive days after it debuted earlier in May this year.

    The season concludes once more in London, with a climatic double-header at the Excel on 15th – 16th August 2026 that will round out the end of the GEN3 Evo era.

    Two further locations to complete the calendar are awaiting public confirmation, as end-stage negotiations are ongoing with local authorities ahead of forthcoming World Motorsport Council Meetings later in the year, when the final calendar will be revealed and ratified.

    This calendar is our most competitive yet, blending exciting new and existing venues with legendary circuits that define Formula E. With greater attention on calendar stability, we’re becoming easier to find, engage with and attend, unlocking greater fan loyalty and love. Our debut in Madrid and increase in total races demonstrates our mission and intent to continually grow the series in key markets, while racing at Miami’s International Autodrome takes our US presence to another level at a world-class facility. As we continue to see year-on-year growth of our global fanbase and TV audiences, this calendar is certain to deliver even more exciting racing from our top tier drivers and teams for our fans to get behind.

  • Formula E announce second Women’s Test

    On International Women’s Day, Formula E and the FIA have announced a second annual Women’s Test at Season 12 pre-season testing, with double the track time.

    Following the success of the first ever all women test held at the Circuito Jarama, Madrid in 2024 and to celebrate this year’s IWD them to ‘Accelerate Action’ the event on the 30th October 2025 will see all 11 teams involved.

    For a second year in a row, Formula E will offer a dedicated platform for up to 22 talented women to push the state-of-the-art Gen3 Evo race car to the limit.

    The test will take place at the renowned Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain and is an integral part of the pre-season Official Collective tests schedule for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s Season 12.

    Each of the 11 teams are required to field at least one women driver, with a focus on ensuring that women have access to the same state-of-the-art equipment and technical insights as their male counterparts.

    Building on the success of last year’s pioneering all-women’s test, we’re excited to make the event even bigger and more impactful by extending it to a full day of testing involving two lengthy test sessions. Our goal is to continue breaking down the barriers to entry for women in motorsport and provide them with an equal opportunity to showcase their skills, driving the same cutting-edge technology as the rest of our championship drivers.

  • Andretti & Porsche partnership to continue

    Andretti has announced that the team will be extending its partnership with Porsche Motorsport through Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

    The extended collaboration will see Andretti continue to use the Porsche 99X Electric and underscores the outfit’s commitment to leveraging Porsche’s renowned expertise and technology for future success in the all-electric racing series.

    Since joining forces at the start of Season 9, the Porsche 99X has yielded a Drivers’ World Championship, three race wins, 15 podium finishes, five fastest laps, 112 laps led and a total of 365 points in Andretti colours.

    The Porsche-powered teams of TAG Heuer Porche and Andretti has also yielded 209 points jointly scored in the newly-established Manufacturers trophy, which the German manufacturer currently leads.

    The relationship between Andretti and Porsche Motorsport precedes the announcement of then GEN3 agreement.
    The partnership dates back to 1983, when Mario and Michael Andretti debuted at Le Mans in a Porsche 956, marking the beginning of shared victories including podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

    It’s an exciting time to be a part of Formula E and we feel confident in our position in the series, which is due in large part to our partnership with Porsche. From day one our goal has been to win races and championships, and Porsche has helped us achieve both since joining forces in Season 9.   • Porsche extends Formula E commitment

    Porsche and Formula E have announced that the manufacturer has extended its involvement in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship through to Season 12 in 2025/2026.

    Porsche entered Formula E in 2019 with an initial five-year commitment until the end of Season 10 which will conclude in July 2024.
    Today’s announcement confirms TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team will continue to compete in the premier all electric motorsport world championship through the Gen3 era,

    Porsche also confirmed it will continue to play and active role in shaping the successful future of Formula E and is already involved in the design of Gen4 from Season 13.

    This season has been the most successful for Porsche since it entered Formula E. Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix da Costa have won four of the 14 races to date, with Wehrlein running for the title too.

    For the first time this season, Porsche is supporting a customer team, Avalanche Andretti Formula E, with driver Jake Dennis currently leading the Championship with the final two races in London this weekend.

    With our entry into Formula E, we have opened a new chapter in all-electric motorsport. We remain convinced that our presence and successes in Formula E will lay the foundation for future mobility solutions. It provides the most competitive environment to accelerate the development of high-performance vehicles with a focus on environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. We look forward to playing an active role in shaping the successful future of Formula E and thereby giving electric mobility even more impetus on a global scale.
