  • Nikita Bedrin to driver for DS PENSKE

DS Penske have signed Nikita Bedrin to the Penske Driver Development Program.

Bedrin is a multiple race winner in international karting competitions, he made headlines by dominating the 2020 WSK Super Master Series (OK), where he won heats, qualifying sessions, prefinals, and finals over the final two rouundsa.

The 19 year old stepped up to single seaters in 2021, where he competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, which saw him take a podium in the second round of the season.
However, his campaign ended early the following round as he sustained a hand injury.

The main campaign for him that year was Italian and ADAC F4 series. He scored points regularly in Italy, with the season highlight being a triple of podiums at Imola Circuit. With another podium to his name the following round, he finish eighth in the overall standings.

This season AIX Racing retained Bedrin for a second year in a row for the opening round of Formula 3, where he scored 17 points.

As part of the PENSKE Driver Development Program, Bedrin will work closely with the DS PENSKE engineering team, contributing to simulator development, and gaining valuable insight into the technical and strategic demands of electric racing at the elite level.

I’m incredibly excited to join DS PENSKE for the Berlin Rookie Test. t’s a great opportunity to experience Formula E up close and work with such a forward-thinking and competitive team. I’m grateful to be part of the Penske Driver Development Program, it is a huge milestone in my career. I am thankful for the trust the team has placed in me and I can’t wait to get started.

  • PHM AIX Racing confirm Bedrin

PHM AIX Racing have finalised their driver line-up for the 2024 Formula 3 season following announcement that Nikita Bedrin will race for the team.

Bedrin returns for a second year in Formula 3 after sealing two podium finishes in 2023 at the Budapest Sprint Race and the Spa-Francorchamps Feature race with Jenzer Motorsport.

However, Bedrin has plenty of history with PHM AIX Racing, previously racing for the team in 2022 at the Formula 4 UAE, ADAC F4 and Italian F4 Championships – where he became a race winner at the former two events.
He also won two races for the team at the Formula Regional Middle East Championship in 2023.

Welcome Back to the team, Nikita. Besides Taylor Barnard, PHM AIX Racing is supporting and educating Nikita in the third season now. No doubts about his raw speed and talent, Nikita matured on and off track and convinced us to give him another chance to prove himself, after a difficult first season in 2023. Although being compromised by some bad luck, he was able to show some respectable highlights last season with two podiums under very difficult conditions in F3. No doubts, with Nikita, his former FRMEC Teammate Joshua Dufek and Tasanapol, we have a very promising driver line-up, and I am sure, that with all the effort and work the team has done through the winter break, we will compete consistently for points and podiums.

  • Bedrin steps up to F3

Jenzer Motorsport have confirmed Nikita Bedrin as their second driver for the upcoming F3 season, with him becoming the 15th rookie announced for the 2023 grid.

The 17 year old made the step up to single-seaters in 2021 following a successful karting career, in which he claimed the WSK Super Masters Series OK class title in 2020. The following year saw him compete in the UAE, German ADAC and Italian F4 Championships.

Returning to all three for second consecutive season in 2022, Bedrin finished fourth in the Standings in both F4 UAE and ADAC F4, achieving one win and a further five podium finishes in the German Championship.

Bedrin had his first chance to get to grips with the F3 machinery during last year’s post-season test, clocking in 184 laps across the three days in Jerez.

I’m very happy to have the opportunity to drive in the FIA F3 Championship! It is a big and important step. I’m ready to accept the challenge and make the most of it! I want to say a big thank you to PHM Racing for making it possible for me to drive at Jenzer Motorsport and for giving me this chance and believing in me. I can’t wait to start and I’m really looking forward to it!

Nikita is young, talented and ambitious. We will work with him on his consistency and think he can surprise with very good results. In the post-season test in Jerez last autumn, he already did well with the powerful FIA F3 racing machine, which was new to him. We are looking forward to the season with him and are happy to start soon.
