  • Cohen returns to Carlin

    Rodin Carlin has finalised its 2023 line-up with the announcement of Ido Cohen, the 21 year old will line-up alongside Hunter Yeany and Oliver Gray.

    His move to Carlin will be a reunion after he raced for the team during his 2020 Euroformula Open campaign and completed his rookie FIA Formula 3 season with the team in 2021.

    He claimed two podium finishes in Euroformula Open on the way to finishing seventh in the Standings, as well as finishing the ’21 F3 campaign 24th.

    Cohen then spent his second FIA Formula 3 campaign at Jenzer Motorsport last year. The Israeli achieved a best finish of ninth which came in the Spielberg Feature Race.

    I’m very happy to back with everyone at Rodin Carlin again. When I went back for my seat fit, it was like going back to family. The team have made some positive changes since we were last racing together and I’m excited to see everything come together again when we get on track next week in Bahrain.

    Jenzer Motorsport sign Cohen & Alatalo

    Jenzer Motorsport have signed two out of three drivers for their 2022 season in Formula Three.

    Ido Cohen switches to Jenzer, for his second year in Formula 3 after switching from Carlin, he comes of an educational rookie season, where he took a highest finish of 12th but came close to scoring points multiple times.

    The 20 year-old, first experienced Jenzer machinery on the final day of post-season test in Valencia and impressed enough to earn a full time seat.

    “I am really happy to join the Jenzer Motorsport family,” said Cohen. “I drove with the team in Valencia and it was a really good experience. The people there were very professional, so with the team capabilities and the experience I already have in the championship, I am confident I can achieve good results. I am excited and looking forward to driving in Bahrain.”

    Jenzer have signed 19 year old, William Alatalo for his first ever season in Formula 3, he is making the step up from Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, he finished 11th with Arden Motorsport, scoring his podium at Le Castellet.

    The Finnish born driver first tried out Jenzer machinery at post-season testing on days 2 and 3.

    ”I am extremely happy to drive FIA F3 with Jenzer Motorsport,” said Alatalo. “This is one step closer to my dream, and I will do everything I can to score good results. The championship is going to be really tough. We as a team need to do our best to get good results. I believe me and Jenzer can achieve good results along the season. I trust the team, and I will do my best on and off-track. I will do better than before, and that’s a promise I intend to keep.”
