Van Amersfoort Racing have announced that reigning EuroFormula Open Champion, Noel Leon will make the step up to FIA Formula 3.
The 18 year old joins the third tier after claiming the 2023 Euroformula Open title, where he grabbed sevens wins and 16 podiums to grab the title.
Leon made his single seater debut in 2018, competing in one round of the NACAM Formula 4 Championship with a two-race appearance the next year.
A full season follow up campaign in 2019-20 saw him take the title, achieving seven wins, 10 pole positions and 15 podiums.
2021 saw him secure both the Formula 4 United States Championship and NASCAR Challenge Series Mexico titles, before moving to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine for the 2022 season.
Being part of Van Amersfoort Racing has been a joy so far. We did the post-season tests and Macau together which was a positive experience and great preparation for the upcoming season. I cannot wait for the season to start!
